Bob & Donna Kiefert are retiring as pastors at Mt. Zion UMC in Winchester, Indiana effective the first of January, 2022. The Kieferts have enojyed serving as pastors at Mt. Zion and are going to dearly miss the wonderful people there. Bob originally retired in 2001 and Donna back in 1998, but they felt the call of the Lord leading them into ministry. They have been following that call since 2008, first as circuit pastors, and then the past eight years at Mt. Zion. When asked if he thought this would be the real retirement, he paused and then reflected. "He will tell you."

The Kieferts have both earned this well deserved sabbatical. They have plans to travel and visit family and friends in the Dakotas, and both the east and west coasts. They are grateful for the friendships and relationships that they have formed with other believers over the years. Bob said, "Christian unity and the love we share as believers has added so much to our lives." They will miss the people, the camaraderie, and the fellowship. However, all who know Bob and Donna, are confident that they will find new ways to share God's love.
