"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Phillipians 4:6
The past two years have been some of the most challenging times that many of us can remember. We have felt more alone and isolated from family, friends, and neighbors than some of us can ever recall. It has been a good time to call upon God. The challenge this month is to take that step just a little bit further and reach out and become a prayer partner with another member of our congregation. Prayer partners are open to everyone; you don't have to be a member of the church or even attend regularly. You simply fill out the form and the pastor will match you up with another individual. Once you have a prayer partner, your job is to pray for them and remember them just like you do your family members. It is a good idea to connect with your prayer partner via email, text, or phone and see what their prayer needs are. Make sure you exchange phone numbers so you can keep in touch.
The benefits of praying for someone else are numerous. You gain a new friend in the church, and learn more about that person. The additional prayers help draw you closer to God. Plus the bonus of having someone special to reach out to in times of need. Forms will be available at church during the month of February or contact Joy Grady at joygrady82@gmail.com or call the church office.
