In March, the church received another extraordinary gift from the estate of Brian Elliott, son of Gordon & Sue Elliott and brother of Susan Elliott of more than $14,000. Brian passed away in February, 2020 before Sue passed away in March, 2020 and before Susan passed away in July, 2021. Brian had attended Yorktown United Methodist growing up and was a fixture at many of our events. A graduate of Yorktown High School he was a long time Delaware County Sheriff Deputy and drove a school bus for Yorktown schools for years. His most recent career was Director of Transportation for Yorktown Community Schools.

The total bequests from the Elliott Family now exceed $66,000 and were donated to the church to use as needed. We also wish to express our appreciation and recognize the extended Elliott Family, David Wools and his daughters Jennifer Gollifer and Julie Roach, who were instrumental in handling the estate affairs of Sue, Susan and Brian
