The Leadership Council is pleased to announce that Rev. Matthew J Leffler will be the full time pastor of Yorktown Methodist Church as of January 1, 2023. Pastor Matthew was the unanimous choice of the LC to serve as our new pastor after reviewing resumes and interviewing several candidates. Pastor Matthew is no stranger to Yorktown Methodist Church. He and his family have attended YMC for the past three years, and he has most recently served as our interim pastor. During his time as our interim, Matthew realized that he missed serving as a full time pastor and was anxious to devote his efforts full time to our church. He most recently served at the Indiana Conference UMC as the Associate Director of Leadership Development and the Board of Ordained Ministry Registrar. He will continue there through the end of December, while still serving as the interim pastor at YMC.

Come January 1st, Matthew and his family are ready to begin their new journey. Matthew and Tracey and their children, Mickala and Matt will be moving into the parsonage. The students will be finishing the year at Shenandoah, where Mickala is a senior, and Matt a freshman.
