I feel sure we all believe in the power of prayer. Most have read books, listened to a podcast, or heard sermons about prayer. There are many ideas and methods for prayer. You probably have your favorite.
It will soon be six months since prayer partners have been assigned. I want to remind you to keep in contact with your prayer partner. I hope you are letting your prayer partner know your concerns and learning about their concerns. I hope you are praying for them daily. Maybe some of you are actually getting together once in a while.
I want to share a little of what I recently read written by Greg Lourie. It was titled "Think before you pray". He said some people pray broad generic prayers, but he thinks it would do more for people if we prayed for them by name. Of course, that is how you would pray for your prayer partner.
He quoted Psalm 5:3. "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." Greg said it is important to have passion in our prayers. But we also need to think through what we will bring before the throne of God. We can only do that if we know what our prayer partners' needs are.
If you have misplaced the contact information for your prayer partner, let me know and I will help find it.

Pray for Needs of the Displaced in South America
by Joy Grady von Kleeck, source Advancing Native Missions
The ongoing crisis in Venezuela has sent millions from their homes and plunged many more into uncertainty, hunger, and poverty. The challenges are immense, but the Lord is touching hearts and delivering aid through His people in this region.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW.
*More than 5 million people from Venezuela have sought refuge in other countries, mostly within Latin America.
*Many of the countries.where refugees have arrived were already struggling with widespread poverty.
*Most people in this region are Roman Catholic, but relatively few would claim a personal relationship with Jesus.
WAYS TO PRAY
1. Pray for adequate provision of food and other necessities for displaced people in Venezuela, Ecuador, and other countries
2. Pray for job opportunities for parents who have lost jobs and are unable to provide for their children.
3. Pray for more than 1,000 newly trained church planters who are being sent out after a year of online training.
