Read: Isaiah 6:9-10
The people of Bethlehem had been rushing around on the day before Jesus’ birth trying to make room for all of the people who had come to be registered for the Census. It is this Census that brings Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Joseph’s hometown. So, maybe this night of sleep was well deserved as they recovered from the work of the day.
And yet, in the hustle and bustle of the preparations, the people had missed something important. God was moving in their midst. The Messiah was born that night so long ago.
In your preparations for Christmas, are you missing what truly may be important during this Advent Season?
What can you do to make sure you “see” what God is doing in your midst?
