Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light; 

Read: Isaiah 60:19-22 

In the book of Isaiah, the prophet foretells of the restoration of the people of Israel and telling of the day that God would be their “everlasting light”. There will be a day when they will no longer need the sun by day or the moon by night. 

As Christians, we believe that the fullness of this prophecy is found in the person of Jesus. Jesus is the Everlasting Light. He is the One who sheds light into the darkness. He is the one who will bring light into our lives.
