The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.

Read: Psalm 33:20-22

For the people of Israel at the time of Jesus, their greatest hope was that the prophesied Messiah would come. They had waited almost 400 years for God to act. And, they waited.

For Christians, we know that God’s hope has entered the world in the Christ child. We have Jesus as our source of hope. In the baby born that first Christmas, we have met the hope for the world.

What are you hoping for this Advent season?

How might Jesus assist you in realizing that hope?
