Dear Susanna,
I had really good intentions. I was going to start the Bible study program. I actually did the first week, and then, I let other things interfere with my reading time, and now I am a couple weeks behind. Do I wait three years to start again or can I just jump right in where the rest of the congregation is at? What do you think?
Nona Reader
Dear Nona,
I say jump right in where the rest of us are. It is better to start late than to let this opportunity pass. A very important part of a program like this for me is prioritizing a time each day to make it happen. That may mean getting up a little earlier, or turning off the TV or your tablet a little earlier before you retire for the day. Bible reading is a critical element to include in your daily routine. One of the good things about the Kingdom Greatness plan is that you are only targeting five days a week. So if you do miss a day, hopefully you can make it up over the weekend.
Love & Prayers,
Susanna
Dear Susanna,
I know this is early to ask, but do you know if they have set up a day to honor the graduating seniors?
Paula Planner
Dear Paula,
May 19th is the day set aside to honor our graduates this year. We like to include our extended church family on this, so if you have children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren that are graduating, we would like to honor them also. This is for high school, college or vocational college. Graduation is a big step! Please make sure and send pictures and the name of the school they are graduating from to Gayle.
Love & Prayers,
Susanna
"Dear Susanna" is a feature of the YMC monthly newsletter. Susanna Wesley never preached a sermon, published a book, or founded a church, yet Susanna Wesley is known as the Mother of Methodism. The example of faith and religious reverence she set for her children John and Charles inspired them to become powerful spiritual leaders, and to launch the Methodist movement.
