Thank You Notes

To our Church Family,

We want to thank you for your many prayers for our grandson, Isaac. Isaac was released from Riley on Jan. 19 after about seven months of mostly inpatient treatment for his AML leukemia. His final bone marrow biopsy showed "no sign of disease," his central line was removed Feb. 9, and --Praise the Lord!! - he is officially in remission! He will have monthly monitoring for a while, but Isaac and his family have jumped fully back into their normal life and are celebrating with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge this week for his first swim since last June! Isaac has been delivered from death to life and we are so very grateful. Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement during this journey.

February Fellowship Team - Thank you to Debbie & Joe Dolan, Lance & Mary Jo Estep, and Linda Martin for the delicious treats! We love Fellowship Sundays!

Jim Fowler's name was inadvertently omitted from the Hands of Hope team last month. He has been a vital member of the team since Day One.

A special thank you to Ella Reff for her help with the paraments (the small banners on the front of the lecterns in the sanctuary) the past several years. She has faithfully kept us updated with the seasons of the liturgical calendar. We appreciate her dedication. Ella is teaching Becky Clemens how to take over this responsibility. Thank you!

A major thank you to Roland Walker for shepherding our multi-year church lighting refresh. In the past couple weeks all new LED lighting was installed in the basement bathrooms and halls replacing lights that were over 25 years old! Two years ago, we updated lighting in fellowship hall and the main office. Last year we updated lighting in the stairwells, narthex and outdoor lighting over entry doors. Next on the list this year is replacing 60-year-old emergency exit lighting (we have 17 of those!). Thank you Roland!

Thank you to Terry & Toni Fauquher with their help with the flower arrangements on the altar. Your work is greatly appreciated. Going forward, Becky Clemens is also taking on that responsibility. Thank you!

Music Notes - Wow! Wesley Alves' flute solo in February was amazing. Thank you! Morgan and Chikako provided for another month of inspiring music. The special music with assistance from Landon Staley, & Judy Gernand was beautiful. Thank you to Arline Applegate and Kirk Perry for leading the music in Morgan's absenceYour musical skills and talents are all appreciated!

The Bell Tones are back in action preparing for the Easter holidays. Additional players are still needed. The group meets Tuesdays at 4:00. Contact Madalyn Ayers for more information.

Reach Yorktown Ministry - 113 items were donated to Reach last month. Thank you to those individuals who donate regularly to the pantry. Blessings!
