Dear Susanna,
I noticed that there are a lot of volunteer opportunities in this newsletter. Are we really involved in that many activities as a church?
Barry Bored
Dear Barry,
You better believe it! Things slowed down during Covid, but there is a lot to do now to minister to our community and the Yorktown Methodist Church. Please take a serious look at those volunteer opportunities and see what you can do to help.
Love and Prayers,
Susanna
Dear Susanna,
I really like all the pictures in this month's newsletter, but I wish they were all bigger. I can hardly see who is in them. Also why don't all the pictures show up in the print version of the newsletter?
Eagle Eyes
Dear Eagle Eyes,
I have a suggestion for you. Hover over the smaller pictures with your finger or mouse, and they will pop up larger. Enjoy! The print version is limited to five and a half pages for script and pictures in order to avoid higher mailing rates, so unfortunately, we can not squeeze in everything we can in the email version.
Love & Prayers,
Susanna
Dear Susanna,
Last year they included graduation pictures of grandchildren's graduation pictures in the newsletter. Are they doing it again this year?
Grandma Gertie
Dear Grandma,
Yes, we are! We would love to see your grandkids and great grandkids graduation pictures, Please share the info with us by emailing a picture to ggernand@gmail.com. Make sure and include the name of the graduate, parents, and your relationship to them.
Love & Prayers,
Susanna
"Dear Susanna" is a feature of the YMC monthly newsletter. Susanna Wesley never preached a sermon, published a book, or founded a church, yet Susanna Wesley is known as the Mother of Methodism. The example of faith and religious reverence she set for her children John and Charles inspired them to become powerful spiritual leaders, and to launch the Methodist movement.
