Is it too late to help out at Kids in the Meadow? I was meaning to do it, but I just kept putting it off. What do I need to do?

It's not too late, but you need to act soon. First contact the pastor and let him know you want to help, and he will help get the background check started. It is very simple and quick process. Also go to the ReachYorktown.com website and look in the children's section. You will find a form there to complete. Volunteers are there on Mondays in June from 5:45 - 8:00 p.m. at Morrow's Meadows. Thank you for volunteering to help!

I read Pastor Matthew's article about small groups. I think that is nice for some people, but it is not exactly my cup of tea. I like to go to church Sunday, and make that my commitment to the Lord.

Have you ever tried a small group? If you haven't, you should. And if you did and it was not the right fit, you should try again, A small group at YMC is not just about you, it is about all of us and our church family. Sometimes we are the ones called to be there for others; sometimes they are the ones there for us. It is an opportunity to grow closer to God and build some life long friendships at the same time. Groups typically meet every other week or twice a month. The group chooses the best time to meet. Preferably they will meet in person, but on-line is an option, too. Will you do me a favor and lift this issue in prayer? Pastor Matthew is holding an information session on June 11th after church in Fellowship Hall if you are interested.
