For Christ is born of Mary And gathered all above,
Read: Isaiah 7:13-17
In the first chapter of the gospel of Luke, the angel, Gabriel, appears to a young woman named Mary.
But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. (Luke 1:30-32a, NIV)
This birth was foretold by the prophet, Isaiah. On that first Christmas morning, the Son of God was born. The Son of God became flesh; was raised by loving parents; and began a ministry to bring God’s love to the world.
What does it mean that God’s Son came to Earth in order to restore you to a relationship with God?
How can you worship the newborn King this Advent season?
