Music Notes - We are so blessed! Thank you, Morgan and Chikako for the inspirational music leading up to Easter. Wesley Alves delighted the congregation on the first Sunday of March with hisflute and drum. Matt Leffler shared on the drum and guitar the second Sunday of the month, while Kirk Perry sang with Morgan to create some awesome worship music. The focus of the third Sunday was the choir leading with Wesley Alves on the flute, Matt Leffler on the drums, and John Chaille, Bob Futrell, Becky Clemens, Arline Applegate, Brenda Olson, and Debbie Dolan making up the choir. The fourth Sunday of the month started with our favorite pianist and organist, Ron and Chkako Sloan playing a delightful duet for the prelude. Then Morgan & Landon Staley, and friends, Nicole Leis & Jeremy Reed inspired the congregation during worship. Easter Sunday was magnificent with the choir, the bell choir, the Staleys, Maddie Harper, and more blessing our worship service as we praised the risen Lord. Thank you to all of our talented musicians, vocalists. Your musical skills and talents are all appreciated!
The Bell Tones are amazing! They delighted the congregation with The Old Rugged Cross on March 10 as the prelude. Thank you to Madalyn Ayers, Charlie Ayers, Laura Ayers, Vicki Brinson, Linda Brown, John Chaille, Debbie Dolan, Bridget Flanagan, Peg Flanagan, Matt Leffler, Tracy Leffler, and Linda Riegle. The Bell Tones rang melodiously on Easter morning, too. They are such a blessing!
The dynamic cleaning duo of Judy St. John and Roland Walker have spent several days at the church recently removing old discontinued and discarded items that need to be taken away. Thank you for your spring cleaning efforts to beautify and organize our church!
Beautiful tulips, daffodils, and lilies decorated the sanctuary on Easter Sunday! Thank you to all our gracious donors and those that were honored or remembered as loved ones. Thank you for sharing!
Reach Yorktown Ministry - 63 items were donated to Reach in March. Thank you to those individuals who donate regularly to the pantry. Reach will once again be helping in the postal workers food collection on May 11th. Let Mary Jo or Brenda know if you would like to be a part of that.
