YUMC's COVID Response

YUMC is committed to creating a safe worship environment for the sake of our people and community. You are likely aware that Covid numbers are on the rise. Indiana is considered "red" at the moment, and Delaware County's numbers are high. The Leadership Council weighed the risks and benefits of closing for public worship again. Given the high vaccination rate within our congregants, our masking policy, and social distancing efforts, we feel remaining OPEN is the best course of action at this time.

Thank you for your continued cooperation with our public health efforts. Your compliance thus far is the reason we've been able to limit exposure and remain open this long. When coming to worship and/or church events, please remember:
Wear Your Mask
Space Out
Limit Touches
Manage Your Risk

As always, you know your risk factors better than we do. If you are immuno-compromised, unvaccinated, or have other risk factors, and do not feel comfortable participating in public worship, we understand! We're all trying to make good choices for our own health, and your church family supports you doing so. Don't feel obligated to attend events that make you feel comfortable.

Lastly, continue to pray for those suffering from Covid and loss, for our over-taxed healthcare workers, and for our church as we try to live wisely and faithfully in this long Covid season.
